Creo

At CAD-IT Australia, we believe that implementing leading technology can make an incredible difference in your business and its operations.

What is Creo?

Creo is a 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software built to assist and propel your product innovation. Simple to understand, Creo’s user-friendly program guides you through from the beginning of the design stage right through to manufacturing.

Through the combination of advanced technologies such as generative design, Ansys powered simulation and additive manufacturing, you can reduce your production costs, see real-time insights and boost the quality of the products you produce. In order to keep pace with the fast-moving product development landscape whilst maintaining a competitive edge and gaining market share, you need high performing software and only Creo can provide you that.

Generative Design

  • Through Generative Topology Optimisation (GTO) and Generative Design Extension (GDX), you can create higher-quality, lower-cost designs that function better in the real world.
  • GTO optimises designs based on the material, manufacturing process, as well as your specifications and limits.
  • GDX allows you to simultaneously create various design studies using an array of materials and procedures.

Ansys Powered Simulation

  • Creo and Ansys have teamed up to create a high-fidelity, high-accuracy simulation tool using Ansys solvers built into Creo.
  • This simulation is made so engineers can use it to test the performance of 3D prototypes before sending them to production.
  • This software integration takes advantage of Ansys’ capabilities for thermal, structural, and modal assessments, allowing engineers to make educated decisions as they modify their designs.
  • Allows engineers to perform product simulations early on in the design process.

Additive Manufacturing

  • The Creo Additive Manufacturing Extension has been updated to allow for the addition of lattices to the Delaunay Algorithm.
  • This software recognises and follows hard edges, resulting in faster and cleaner lattices.
  • Support for Swiss Type machines and UI improvements for the synchronisation tool have been added to the computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) tool.
  • Improves user productivity by creating better designs for the manufacturing process.

Creo Capabilities

Creo offers a range of capabilities, including;

  • Parametric and freestyle surfacing
  • Augmented reality
  • 2D drawing
  • Model-based definition
  • Design exploration
  • Mechanism design
  • Fastener design
  • Human factors design
